When compared to leading competitors, Furrion Chill boasts the highest energy efficiency rating (EER 2.13) available on the market. Aerodynamic Design The Rooftop AC unit is designed with a sleek and mid-profile body with a minimal air resistance to reduce drag caused by wind. Low wind drag and reduced air resistance help maintain speed and velocity and improve overall fuel efficiency. Read more Ultra Quiet The Furrion Chill is built to be ultra quiet while in use. Airstream vehicles will need additional modifications.
ROOFTOP AIR CONDITIONER WITH MANUAL CONTROL: Manual controls provide simple operation with physical controls and slim design. The manual controller has 8 selectable positions. Works with both ducted and non-ducted air conditioning systems. Air distribution also has 2 slotted registers to maximize airflow and the registers can be closed to divert more air to the ducts in a ducted system.
COOL & ENERGY EFFICIENT: The air conditioner has two fans, each with their own motor, to help move cool air faster inside your RV, making it 25% more efficient than single-fan units.
SAFE & RELIABLE: Start capacitor offers an extra boost to help jump-start the AC when a campsite or generator doesn't provide enough power. Short-cycle protection ensures your RV reaches its temperature set-point.
DURABLE: UV-resistant cover protects internal components from water and debris while the thermal insulation regulates temperature and prevents motors from overheating. The EPP foam housing is water and chemical resistant.
INSTALLATION & WARRANTY: Bolt-on installation. Replaces or adds an additional AC system. Mounting hardware/frame for air distribution box included. The instruction manual included provides detailed information for the full setup. Includes a 2-Year warranty for the Rooftop Air Conditioner and the Manual Control comes with a 12-Month Warranty.
added this as a second unit in place of a vent. Very quick install, pretty easy. it has a lot of fan noise. I should have gotten one that uses a standard thermostat instead of the rotating dials. The knobs were the hardest thing to install and I am not sure one is on correctly but it does not take a rocket scientist to figure it out. it is a tall unit as compared to my other unit but no issues.I received my Furrion AC unit over a week ahead of the scheduled delivery which was great. AC unit and control came in separate boxes, no damage and in great condition. All parts were in the boxes. This unit was purchased to add a 2nd AC to my Thor Freedom Elite 30FE RV. The hardest part of the whole install was removing the existing vent and the sealant from the roof in 100 degrees heat! I had to run it’s own electrical as our RV is a 30amp setup but honestly that part was easy. Most difficult part was figuring out where I wanted to drill a hole at in the outside of my RV for the plug! All worked out and the new Furrion AC unit kicked out some very cold air and is by far the best upgrade we’ve done. No more carrying around a portable AC and venting it out a window on trips. With both ACs running in the RV it was easily 68 inside and about 100 outside.Bought this to replace a Carrier AirV that had reached the end of it's life. Unit was well packaged and arrived undamaged. Instructions were a little unclear but YouTube videos sorted out any confusion. Unit doesn't blow nearly as hard as the AirV did but as other reviews have stated it blows much cooler with less noise. One complaint, the manual control box vents would be much nicer if they directed air downward or allowed the user to adjust the airflow direction. For the price and ease of installation I can absolutely recommend this unit so far. I'll be purchasing another one of these to replace an anemic Coleman AC if the unit holds up well with use.Had some shipping confusion as well but the seller was quick to respond and very helpful.Let me start by saying all camper air conditioners are typically garbage. We have had this air conditioner for less than a year and it seems to be primarily blowing warm air even when the colder knob is turned to the coldest setting (though we don't typically keep it there). We have this air conditioner in a bedroom that’s just big enough for a king-size bed, and it seems to be the hottest room in the camper, and that’s with our main air conditioner being a very small window unit (6,000 BTU's) in the living room/kitchen which is much larger than the bedroom (we have a 40ft pull behind). My advice as of now is try try other cooling methods before resorting to spending this much on something. I have sent a message to the seller on here, who then told me to call tech support, who then told me to email them and expect a two business day delay. I'll update this review depending on if the problem is solved. My Furrion CHILL Rooftop Air Conditioner with Manual Control. Includes a Chill 14,500 BTU Rooftop AC is currently only 11 months old. It stopped cooling at 9 months. I had an HVAC company come out to diagnose and repair. The start up capacitor was found to be bad and replaced. Last week after running for less than 48 hours the airflow from the unit was very low and not as cool as it had been. Another round of troubleshooting found a frozen coil. See pictures attached for more details. This is still a new unit and should not require repair. I expect better quality from Furrion based on the other products I have purchased from them. When I opened the box it was in a second box and when I started to open that on I seen that the corner was damaged like it had been dropped. Once it was opened I seen that one side of the housing was damaged and a metal box inside was broken loose. But as my wife and me leave in our camper full time I went ahead and hooked it up. It seems to run okay so far.I like this product as it is the second a/c I have had to install because the previous unit ( brand new) didn't work! It wasn't a Furrion. Installation was easy once we lifted the unit with a tractor to the top of my 22' Amerilite RV I use for hunting. The interior installation instructions are difficult to decider, but with a little bit of trial and error managed to figure out how the inside controller slips up into the unit with the upper blocking flange and its insulation strip. Wish there was a YouTube video on the interior procedures. Electrical hookup, easy. The top plastic cover came damaged in the box BUT a quick message to customer service had them send me a new cover with tracking number within two hours.... The install is as easy as could be!!! I'm using it in a 35' skoolie conversion I am doing and it works absolutely perfect!!! With a feels like temperature of 110 degrees outside, it keeps the inside of the skoolie in the low 70's with no problems at all!!!! Top notch product and top notch customer service to boot!!!!! I fully recommend this unit for sale....
