I ultimately returned these but it was a tough decision. The shoes are really cute but the toe box was a little too narrow and after wearing around the house for a little bit, my feet hurt. I knew these wouldn’t be good for desert hikes.Awesome colorHave been wearing Scarpa's for a few years. Since I have a wide foot, I usually get a half size larger than "normal." These fit fine.I never had that problem before. I can’t even wear them. I got a big bruise under my toe nail from them.This is an AMAZING shoe, fits like a glove, very comfortable, great traction. I bought it for whitewater kayaking seeing as there are portages and scouts on boulders/steep slopes. My husband has a pair of the regular kind (not Air) and has been raving about them for years, his have held up very well to a lot of use. For kayakers, the heel is less bulky than many creeking shoes and takes up less room in the boat. I think they run possibly a half size large, I bought an 8.5 (40 EU) to wear with socks and drysuit booties and there's plenty of room (I usually take an 8), just ordered a 7 and 7.5 to try for regular use. Being able to lace up all the way to the toes mean you can customize tightness and if you have foot issues or bunions, etc. can tailor tightness to that. Also, not as important but they're a nice looking shoe, I haven't had mine long and several people have asked me about them. I think they'd be great as general hiking/walking shoes and have great traction and tightness options for scrambling.Love, love these shoes
