This brand of filters was new to me, but it seemed well-reviewed so I was open to giving them a try. My first impression - seeing all the information included in the listing - was good. I really liked the instructional graphics, as I am someone that needs clear and concise directions and these fit the bill. I also really liked the video that was included. It was neat to see how the product was made, and cool to learn they're manufactured in the US. I was convinced to purchase once I learned that they are also sustainably made! A product's impact on the environment is something I'm taking into consideration more and more these days. Impressions of the filters after purchasing remain just as good. They arrived neatly and well-labeled. All four filters were sealed in one plastic bag. That would be the only change I would suggest - to seal each one individually, or at least in groups of two (in an environmentally friendly way) so that I can use one or two without the others exposed to dust in storage. But the filter was very easy to install, no issues there. And it seems to be doing well. I'm not noticing dust particles as much as I've had in the past; and my son, who is allergy prone, is sneezing and sniffling less lately. That's the main goal for me with these - to provide the best air quality for a safe home. So, I'm very pleased with these filters so far.I was impressed at the quality of these filters in comparison to their price. I paid roughly $40 for the four filter pack. The typical filers I purchase from Filtrete range between $14-18 each, so definitely a better price point. For the overall build, the filters are true to size and held up well through shipping and install. I was impressed to see the number of items that they are listed to filter out of the air, especially since the filter mesh is not as dense as others I’ve purchased in the past with similar listings. I am happy with the filter density, as it did not restrict airflow at all with my unit. My previous HVAC tech shared the tighter and more dense the filter is, the harder your HVAC has to work to draw in the air, so I try to avoid the thick and dense filters. From order to shipping to install these filters were an easy purchase. I will continue to order these from now on over the high priced alternatives. The filters appear to be working great. There doesn’t feel to be any reduction in airflow, but I’ve also noticed that the typical dark spots of dust that eventually appear outside the registers using my former generic Home Depot filters are not occurring with the BNX filters. This definitely indicates excellent filtration occurring and no sealing problems around the edges of the filter as it sits within the air return. The packaging is strikingly similar to Home Depot’s HDX brand (logo placement, font, iconography). The MIRV on the BNX filters is much better than Home Depot’s generics, but the HDX brand filters cost about the same for a 3-pack as one BDX filter does. I can see where the filtration quality is significantly better with BNX, so that leads to a cleaner house, better breathing, and cleaner HVAC ducting.I’m very happy with these filters (I’m still on the first one), so I’m interested to see how the next two months go with it as even the generic HDX filters needed to be replaced well-before then because of their clogging.I love these air filters! I used to use the 3M Filtrete air filters because my wife suffers from extreme allergies. Although the 3M filters are great, they were also pricey. I tried the BNX MERV 13 filters and was really impressed with the performance! One of the 3M air filters at my local hardware store is $23.00 while a 4-pack of the BNX air filters is just a little bit more. Cost savings alone won me over.As far as I can tell, the performance from the BNX air filters are on par with the 3M filters. Odors are filtered pretty well and I actually see less dust in the house when using these filters. So, that alone, saves us time with cleaning the house. The only issue I have is that the cardboard border on the BNX filters feel slightly less sturdy. The only time I think this would matter is if it was bent during shipment. My package came with one of the sides slightly bent on one of the filters. It felt flimsy but still operated as expected and fit into the air filter slot with no issues. I'm a converted user. I will be buying these filters from now because of the cost and time savings alone! This is the first time purchasing the BNX filters as I previously purchased the 3M Healthy Living filters and I have zero complaints for the BNX furnace filters. The BNX filters are about half to two-thirds the price of the equivalent 3M Healthy Living filters which is 3Ms highest quality filter. There is an arrow that shows the direction of airflow on the BNX filters so it makes install a piece of cake. I compared all the different types of dust, bacteria, smoke, etc. that both filters will filter out and the BNX is pretty much the same to the 3M Healthy Living filters and blows the lower grade 3M filters out of the park. Their was only one thing less that that BNX filter didn't filter out vs the 3M Healthy Living and that was not an issue for me! The biggest difference comes in the aesthetics as the 3M has more pleats and a mesh wire across the filter where as the BNX has fewer pleats but the reinforced mesh wire is attached to each pleat and holds each pleat perfectly spaced from the other pleats! Will be purchasing again when I need more.I needed to replace my old air filters and decided to give these a try. They worked great. They are made in the USA. Well constructed. Do what they are supposed to do.I have a small house with a cat and they worked great right away. There was quite a bit of difference with these compared to my old cheap filters. The amount of dust and dander started to pile up pretty quick.I bought the 4 pack. And the price was pretty fair for what you're getting. It feels like your getting a more expensive brand for like half the price. They worked really well.5/5. I would recommend.
